How It Works

Step 1

You Vote on Policy

As a voter in a Consensus Ireland constituency, you will have access to our secure online platform. There, you can review each policy or bill that is due to be voted on in the Dáil. You will have the chance to learn about the policy, engage in open discussion, and cast your own vote.

Step 2

TD Votes Based on Majority

Once voting closes, your Consensus Ireland TD (Teachta Dála) will cast their vote in the Dáil according to the majority vote of their constituents on that policy. They do not get to override or alter your decisions.

Step 3

Instant Accountability

If a Consensus Ireland TD ever votes against the will of their constituents, they will be immediately removed from the party. There is zero tolerance for going against the public mandate.

Core Principles and Policies

Always Follow the People

Whether we are the minority or majority party in government, Consensus Ireland representatives must always follow the public vote. There are no exceptions.

Policy Petitions

Citizens can propose policies by launching a petition on our platform. If a proposal reaches the required threshold of support, it will be formally brought forward for public discussion and voting (Majority party dependent).

Decadal Surveys

Every 10 years, Consensus Ireland holds a nationwide consultation to gather long-term visions and goals from citizens. These "Decadal Surveys" allow Ireland to plan major developments – infrastructure, climate policy, education, healthcare, etc. – with the people’s direct input (Majority party dependent).

Open Dialogue

All policy discussions on our platform are supported by transparent documentation, public commentary, and expert analysis. Every citizen can engage in civil, constructive conversations before casting their vote (Majority party dependent).
